Job Description

Family in Parsons Green, London seeking live in nanny to start from early 2020

We’re a fun, happy and loving family of four looking for a live-in nanny to become part of the family.

We have two daughters: a 3 year-old and 5 month-old.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about babies and toddlers, who wants to be with our family for at least a year or two and who can create a happy and playful environment to support both children’s development.

Our youngest daughter arrived in the summer and has Down’s Syndrome. We are looking for someone affectionate, patient, kind and gentle to join us on our journey supporting both girls in their respective needs.

Our three year-old daughter is bright, fun-loving, energetic and adventurous. She loves the outdoors but also craft and creative play – dressing up is currently high on the daily agenda!  She is very good with her baby sister (she is sweet natured and as a family we have placed a great deal of emphasis on kindness) but understandably enjoys focused attention when possible.

Our youngest daughter is incredibly relaxed and easy going. She has a very sweet natured temperament and already proving to be very sociable! She loves people – especially exploring their faces with her recently discovered hands! – and is very energetic having already learned to roll.

We live in Parsons Green in a lovely 4 bed house. The house is very near several parks with great playgrounds for the girls to run around and enjoy. There are fantastic shops and cafes on the doorstep and lots to do locally. We have lived in the area for 10 years and have a network of friends/nannies nearby for playdates and park fun.

We are looking for someone special to join our family to work Monday to Friday 7.45am to 7pm with babysitting two nights a week. The role is currently shared care while I am on maternity leave but with a significant amount of sole charge and autonomy before I return to work.

Nursery duties only.

We have a brilliant cleaner who comes in each week, so your role will be focused on looking after the children and their needs.

The person we are looking for will:
Have experience of looking after babies and pre-school age children.
Experience of weaning.
Enjoys cooking simple, healthy meals for the girls.
Enjoy creative, active and educational play with young children.
Take an active interest in the children’s time at nursery and support their development.
Highly organised.
Speak English fluently.

The accommodation is on the top floor of the house and is a generous double bedroom with TV and a bathroom shared with the children.

Monday to Friday 7.45am-7pm
Salary: competitive, based on experience (£400-£500 net per week)
Start date: Feb 2020
