Job Description

4 day/wk daily nanny – G6yrs & B19mths – St Johns Wood – Flex start

A family living in a flat backing onto Regents Park is looking for a daily nanny to help care for their two children aged G6yrs & B18mths. Mum is quite hands-on with the children so the duties will be shared with her. She needs to the nanny to be proactive, organised and always thinking ahead. If there is something that needs doing to just go ahead and get it done, not rely on Mum for direction. The nanny will need to ensure bags are packed for the next day and if Mum needs to change plans last minute to be flexible and go with the flow.

All normal nursery duties will be required. The young boy is very independent and Mum would very much like you to encourage this when caring for him by allowing him to feed himself, help pack away plates after meals, clean up toys etc. He is in a good routine which should be consistent and followed during the day.

Mum works in fashion and occasionally will need to travel for work. This would usually only be once a month or once every 6 weeks. When this happens you will be required to work on Friday, all day and will be paid extra.

A driver is essential in order to get the 6yr old girl to school which is roughly 25 mins away. Mum will occasionally take her as well. Occasionally if Mum will be around she may ask you to make a larger portion of whatever the children are eating so she can heat it up for herself. She isn’t expecting anything fancy and this wouldn’t be a regular requirement.

In the school holidays the family travel, usually one month over Easter and one month during the summer. You would not be required to go with them so would have this time to run errands potentially for a few hours a day for the mother in law and odd bits around the home. You would be required to take your 4 weeks of holiday in these holiday periods.

£777 – 792 gross per week (equivalent to roughly £12 net)

Someone who has traveled and has real life experience, who can challenge the young boy in conversations concerning a variety of topics.
